Responsible Adult

Overview

The Responsible Adult course is a mandatory training program for anyone overseeing children in licensed child-care in British Columbia. It provides essential guidance on the roles, expectations, and safety protocols involved in caring for children within regulated childcare settings.

Participants develop an understanding of proper supervision practices, child safety measures, emergency preparedness, and professional behavior. This course helps learners gain confidence in their responsibilities while meeting childcare licensing standards and fostering secure, supportive environments for children.

  • Learners may request one-time course rescheduling or transfer to another available session. The request must be made at least three (3) business days prior to course start date. Transfers are subject to seat availability.

  • Full refunds will be provided if the request to cancel has been received more than a week (7 days) before the course start date or Western Workforce Skills Training Centre cancels or reschedules the course.
